Cough Knitting with needles Cough

I’ve been sick for a few days. I really haven’t gotten much of anything done. In between coughing fits, I’ve cast on, frogged, recast on my new knitting adventure several times. One time, I noticed that I had dropped a stitch several rows back. Another I noticed that when I added 10 stitches, I assumed I should have added them spread out throughout the row. After that frogging, I remembered that awhile back I purchased Lucy Neatby’s Knitting Essentials 1. What a great dvd. She showed me exactly how to add stitches in a row! I learned so much from it!

I am now working on the ten inches of the pattern portion.

Work 2 rows in stocking stitch (knit side is the right side) then Work 2 rows reverse stocking stitch (purl side is the right side.)

Okay. So, I can’t tell which side is the right or wrong side. I can tell where the purl rows are. I believe that to follow this pattern, I need to:

Knit row

Purl row

Purl row

Knit row

I am knitting flat on circular needles. I can’t seem to find anything anywhere that tells me which side is the right and wrong side. All I could find was that as long as you have the knitted rows in the left hand and the empty needle in the right all is good.  Oh well, I’ll just keep chugging along!
