Dangerous Days of Daniel X

James Patterson is one of my all time favorite authors. His novels always keep me up late at night, not wanting to put the book down. I’m so excited that he is also writing novels that are attractive to younger audiences.

James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge, authors of The Dangerous Days of Daniel X set out to write a brand-new series for readers of all ages, and believes that the best way to get people excited about reading is to give them books they’re going to love. Without a doubt the authors have hit a bulls eye with this book!

Imagine you are a young boy, and your parents have been brutally murdered. You discover that you were also born with very unique gifts. Not your typical gifts…unbelievable powers, such as the ability to control objects and animals or re-create yourself in any imagine you choose. The power to create. Think of the things you could do with such powers!

Now, imagine there is a list. Contained in this list are the top Alien Outlaws roaming the earth. And one of those aliens is the one that killed your parents. Daniel tells the story of his hunt for the alien responsible for his parents death, and along the way, he may just save the world!

If you have a teenager, or you love the Alex Cross novels, get this book! It is a page turner that excites your eyes with every page! Daniel himself narrates the book, and I found myself gasping at times, experiencing an overwhelming feeling of fear for Daniel. The type of fear you have when someone is telling you an amazing story with a big secret and you want to hear what comes next, but you also are a little afraid to hear it!

On the back cover of the book, it states: “…Patterson has written this story for readers from ten to one hundred and ten. Special care has been taken with the language and content…” As a Mom, I think that is just way cool! As with all James Patterson books, this one has action, mystery, and even some innocent teenage romance.

Gotta love it!
